Mark Musy began his freelance career after going to college on a full scholarship and after working in the art department for a government research and development laboratory in the D.C. area. His father did commercial art and made his living doing technical illustration and photo retouching for most of his life. This gave Mark a head start in his career doing pretty much the same thing. He went from airbrush to predominantly digital in 2000. The art skills provided by Mark Musy, which include landscape painting, technical illustration, architectural rendering, wildlife illustration, retouching, sculpting, molding, exhibit design, graphic design and publishing were learned through long experience in the commercial art business.
